Shanon and I lived just down the road from each other when we were little girls. Waking up early to watch the movie "The Never Ending Story" then riding our bikes to school everyday. Hanging out after school doing our homework together...so we tried. Playing games in the yard like statue maker or red rover red rover. The days were always spent together until dark when we were called in. Only to wake up the next day and do it all over again. After high school we both went our seperate ways only running into each other during our college fast pitch games against each other.
I had taken a few classes in photography and felt the passion to capture it on film. This was the only way to share with others "your special memories". I was given the chance from a stranger to shoot her wedding. Wow was I nervous! But if it wasnt for her trust and courage I wouldnt be shooting today. She opened my eyes to wedding photography. After shooting a few weddings Shanon came back into my life. With just a phone call we were back to hanging out as if nothing had ever changed. She met her husband the night we were out. later on, Shanon then becomes engaged, she asked if id be in here wedding.......pause.........or would you rather shoot my wedding. she said. Well it was hard to turn down the offer of being a bridesmaide. But I had learned to live the special moments of a wedding though the lens. I chose to shoot the wedding. Sitting at home reviewing all the pictures, knowing only I was there for every shot. Laughing in my office by myself and sometimes sheading a tear for those special moments, that weddings bring.
Shanon then started asking a bunch of photography questions. Her husband wanted to get her a "good" camera as he called it, for christmas. So I did some shopping around.
She opened her new camera infront of everyone and here we are today. Shooting photography together. This time we are capturing your special moments in life.........
